Oscar Lopez sizzles at the Empres

Fort Macleod, AB (Nov. 24, 2016) – Guitar master Oscar Lopez will bring his fiery Latin-inspired music to the Empress Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.

Lopez lets his Chilean roots show during his scorching guitar solos that incorporate flavours of jazz, blues and pop. He is known across North America for his intimate, passionate live performances.

Calgary-based Lopez is a two-time Juno Award winner, in 2002 for Best Instrumental Album and in 2005 for Instrumental Album of the Year. He has received an additional five Juno nominations and several other awards for his 12 albums.

Fellow guitarist Ricardo Madrid and percussionist Luis Tovar will join Lopez on stage at the Empress.
